Hi, it's been a while since I've put anything on here has it. Well I have still been around, I've just stuck to favoring artwork more these days instead of posting my work. Speaking of which...

I have just been made aware of Deviantart's announcement about their AI program. I have normally just ignored their shortcomings in the past... three years? I don't know. But now... I am not going to feign ignorance this time. I will be deleting my artwork next week, after which I will delete my account.

Should I decide to start posting artwork again, it will not be back here. If you would like to download any of my artwork, let me know and I will arrange something.

I would like to thank everyone who had watched me for the past eight years but I feel like I need to move on (and not have my art thrown into the AI machine).

Happy New Year!

1 min read
Here's to a fresh start for 2019. Personally, 2018 has been alright. I had a nice Christmas with the family, and new years eve has been quite enjoyable.

I have no proper new years resolution but maybe not get too glued to the news would be a start. (Brexit, anyone?)

Anyway, I hope anyone reading this are having a good year so far which has been almost 15 hours in by the time I'm writing this.

Take care,

    the Silicon Ferret.

I was a big fan of this franchise when it was fairly new and got almost every home console title up until the last Legend of Spyro game. (I'll leave it up to you guys to figure out which title I missed out on.) And so, I am happy to say that this is my most anticipated event this year. In fact, expect some fan-art to arrive very soon. ;)

At least that's what I'd assume is the case.

Last year, I have made a list of films I am interested to see in 2017. Although the year is not yet over, I thought I should give a brief look at my list and a brief opinion on each one that was in cinemas so far (plus some films I ended up seeing despite not being in my final list).

Star Wars Episode VIII: The last Jedi - not yet released
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - Just as great as the first film. It has a great plot with Star Lord and Baby Groot just steals the show.
Thor: Ragnarok - It's a good film. There's great character interactions and the effects still good to watch.
The LEGO Batman Movie - It's alright. Like the first LEGO Movie, it is funny but I can't say that it is "awesome". Plus, it could survive without the non-DC villains making an appearance but hey, it is what it is.
Ghost in the Shell - I liked it. On it's own, I thought it has a great cast and some good effects. Of course it is not as great as the original anime film, but it is a much better film compared to OTHER remakes of anime products.
Kong: Skull Island - Have not seen.
Despicable Me 3 - Have not seen.
Logan - Wait, Professor X is alive in this film? Oh, right, the previous X-Men films explained why that is (still confused btw). Anyway, it's a good film regardless of the higher than normal film rating.
The Great Wall - Have not seen.
Spider-Man: Homecoming: This is massive step up from the Amazing Spider-Man years earlier. This is a great portrayal of the web slinger and has spectacular effects and an interesting villain.
Assassin's Creed - Have not seen.
King Arthur: Beyond the Sword - Have not seen.
Power Rangers - Have not seen.
Coco - not yet released
Jumanji - not yet released (I might have second thoughts about seeing this film, guys.)
A Monster calls - Not in my list but I've seen it. It's alright but boy is this film dark! Okay, it's not that bad, but I was expecting something a little lighter. But it's fine.
Monster Trucks - Also not in my list but yes, I have seen it. Yes, it's a bad film but I don't hate it as much as everyone else. If you have children, I suppose it's fine for rental, provided that they know that no real-life creature eats petroleum oil.

And that's my list. I will come back to update this in the near future but until then, good bye.
